Story (continued)

The cold ground is hard and stiff but it feels warm to me
The wind blows harsh and cold and howls but it blows softly and speaks to me
I can feel them whispering behind me
Saying what they’re going to do to me
And perhaps what they are going to do with you
The numbness is spreading through
I can’t feel my own thoughts or the wind that blows anymore
Or see your face in my mind
My vision blurs even though all I see are footsteps concrete and some sunshine
My hands are numb I can’t feel if I’m moving them or not

She lie there still on the cold concrete ground, it had only been moments before that she was combing her hair thinking of him and chewing on a mint. A few seconds. She wondered if she had not been occupied by his thoughts if she would’ve still had a chance. Probably not. They had found her, and now they were going to take her away just as they had takin him and her way of life and peace of mind. She could not think clearly anymore, the numbness was fading in. Drowsiness drowned her and she fell. She fell beyond consciousness, she could not think of him, nor about herself, nor could she remember where she was and why. She slipped through darkness trying hard to remember something anything but all she saw was nothing. She faded away. she was not there.

“it’s time”
“should we take her in, the drug has been administered sir”
“go”

Evil’s raspy whispers echoed the walls even though they were meant not to be heard. The walls bounced it’s raspy voice around the room until it faded to nothing. This is what it had hoped to do, to end the stupid girl’s foolishness. She had caused much trouble and havoc. It would’ve been so much simpler if they had killed her instead it would’ve been like the blink of an eye but evil had it’s patience, because good things come to those who wait.
